Whilst this probably isn’t a book for me, after checking out the full prmise, those opening lines definitely set the scene so well!!
I like the description of Ned Rise being a thief and whoremaster. We certainly didn’t mince our words back in the day, simply told it like it was.
I wonder when we got to be so politically correct in everything that we do and say, and I wonder if it actually makes us better people for all that?
